The National Stadium will be officially opened on 27 August. On that day, there will be an artistic event called “Energia pokoleń” (Energy of Generations).
Artistic show for the opening of the National Stadium
The names of the invited artists and the scenario are still secret. In the official announcement on the NCS website it is stated that “the opening ceremony, the scenario of which was selected by means of a nationwide contest, will be an unique event, full of surprising special effects, amazing choreography and music”.
The organizer of the “Energia Pokoleń” event is the National Sports Centre, and the contractor is ARS Communication. Those responsible for the event are, among other: Giorgos Stylianou (director of the event) Adam Sztaba (musical manager), Artur Szyman (lights) and Remigiusz Kasztelnik (sound).

Adamek in Wroclaw
On 10 September Tomasz Adamek will fight Vitali Klitschko for the title of the world heavyweight champion. The duel will take place in Poland. Wroclaw wants to organize it as one of the event for the opening of the stadium, whose construction is to be finished on 30 June.
Poland – Germany for the opening of the National Stadium
The most important sporting event for the opening of the National Stadium will be the Poland-Germany match. It is scheduled for 6 September. The place of playing the match was a problematic issue. When Football Association could not reach an agreement concerning the use of boxes during the match with the host of the facility, which is the National Sports Centre it announced that the match would take place in Gdansk
X-Fighters at the National Stadium
The first sports event at the National Stadium will be the competition Red Bull X-Fighters. This is a competition of motorcyclists who present breathtaking stunts in the air. This competition will take place on 6 August. 45.000 people will watch it.
Poznan – excellent opening
The first sporting accent on the reconstructed Municipal Stadium in Poznan was the European League match between Lech and Red Bull Salzburg on 1 October 2010. Poznań won with the score 2-0 and is the leader of the group before Manchester City and Juventus Turyn.
The official opening of the Municipal Stadium in Poznan was, however, Sting’s concert. 20 September 2010 the performance by the renowned artist was watched by thirty thousand people.
Gdańsk – representation for inauguration
The stadium in Gdansk is to be officially opened during a match Poland – France on 9 June.
France is to have the strongest team.
Wroclaw – Slask with … for inauguration
It is known that the first sporting element for the opening of the stadium in Wroclaw will be the match of Śląsk with a class rival. Even one company informed Wroclaw authorities that the company is ready to invite Real Madrid. Other teams mentioned in the local media are Chelsea and Manchester United.
Legia – Arsenal
The new stadium of Legia was inaugurated with the match with Arsenal. The meeting ended with an unusual result of 6:5 for the guests, although Legia led 3-0. 23.000 spectators had the chance to sit down not only at the new stadium, but also enjoy a completely new Legia team led by Maciej Skorża.
Arka Gdynia – Beroe Stara Zagora
For the inauguration of a new stadium Arka Gdynia played with Beroe Stara Zagora, this is the only one and the last club that played with Arka Gdynia in European Cups Football. The match played on 25 February ended with the result 1:1.
