Twenty20 captain Stuart Broad has warned England not to relax as they prepare for the five-match one-day series with India.
Broad led his side to a six-wicket win over the tourists in the sole T20 international on Wednesday evening, having been instrumental in helping England whitewash India 4-0 in the recent Test series.
However, he is expecting a big response from the world champions of the 50-over game, despite England being 4/6 with bookmaker to win the ODI series, which starts on Saturday.
He commented: “They’ve got some world-class talent in their team. They are the 50-over world champions, so we know the danger they present.
“We are certainly not going to take any game lightly. We know how dangerous India are.”
Broad is 11/4 to be England’s leading wicket-taker in the series, while ODI skipper Alastair Cook is 13/5 to be top run-scorer.
