India skipper MS Dhoni admitted that none of his plans had worked after his side suffered yet another defeat to England, this time in the second one-day international.
The tourists have endured a nightmare during their time in England and are 9/1 with bookmaker to recover and win the five-match ODI series.
A seven-wicket loss in a rain-affected game at the Rose Bowl left India 1-0 down in the series with three games to play, with Dhoni’s men having lost the sole T20 international after being whitewashed 4-0 in the recent Test series.
“We try to come up with plans that may work, but not much has worked so far for us,” Dhoni said after the latest reverse.
A small boost for India came with the news that England will be without key middle-order batsman Eoin Morgan for the whole of the series, as he continues to be troubled by a shoulder injury.
