McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh has backed Lewis Hamilton to return to form at this weekend’s Korean Grand Prix, a race the Englishman is 4/1 with bookmaker to win.
The 2008 world champion has had a disappointing season and is currently nearly 150 points adrift of Sebastian Vettel, who has retained his crown with four races still to go. The German is 5/4 to win his tenth race of the season on Sunday.
However, Whitmarsh has no doubts that Hamilton will be back to his best at Yeongam, saying: “At the moment he has to keep calm, be disciplined, keep his head because he is still a naturally very gifted, incredible racing driver, and it will come good, I’m quite sure of that.”
