Blackburn’s injury problems are mounting as they prepare for a crunch derby clash against Bolton, a game Rovers are 15/2 with bookmaker to win 1-0.
Steve Kean has revealed that Scott Dann will be sidelined for six weeks with the groin injury the defender picked up during Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to West Brom.
Rovers are already without Ryan Nelsen and Michel Salgado for the Bolton game, which the visitors are 18/1 to win 2-0, while Gael Givet, who had to leave the field at Sunderland eight days ago suffering heart palpitations, requires an operation this week.
There is some good news for Kean though as Junior Hoilett is recovering from a hamstring strain and should be fit for most of Blackburn’s festive programme.
