Christopher Samba has handed an ultimatum to relegation-threatened Blackburn in an attempt to force a move away from Ewood Park.
The 27-year-old central defender is desperate to leave Rovers, who are 4/1 with bookmaker to finish at the foot of the Premier League table and 4/5 to be relegated, after growing frustrated with the club’s Indian owners Venky’s.
The Congo international, who has been linked with moves to QPR and Tottenham before the transfer window closes on Tuesday evening, said: “When a couple don’t get on they get a divorce, and that’s what me and Blackburn have to do.
“Blackburn need players who are 100 per cent for the club, and I’m not. The only way to solve this is for them to let me go. It will be very difficult for me to play for this team again.
“I’m at the end of the road here. I’m not going to change so, for their good and mine, they must sell me now.”
