England head coach Stuart Lancaster has opted for an unchanged starting line-up and bench for Saturday’s clash against Italy in the Six Nations.
The interim coach named an inexperienced side against Scotland last weekend and was delighted to leave Murrayfield with a battling 15-6 victory. He has kept the faith for the trip to Rome, and England are now 2/9 with bookmaker to record another away win.
“Italy will be a very difficult challenge with nearly 700 caps in their starting line-up and it promises to be an outstanding occasion at the sold-out Stadio Olimpico,” said Lancaster.
“Where we struggled at points against Scotland we didn’t retain enough quality possession.
“We need to make sure we give ourselves more time with the ball and less time defending.”
