England interim coach Stuart Lancaster has signalled a new era ahead of the Six Nations clash with Scotland, with Owen Farrell, Phil Dowson and Brad Barritt set to make their Test debuts.
Lancaster, whose side are 4/6 with bookmaker to win on Saturday, has also named five more uncapped players among the replacements, with Jordan Turner-Hall, Lee Dickson, Ben Morgan, Geoff Parling and Rob Webber set to come on from the bench.
Just six players have survived from the World Cup loss to France as Lancaster has rang the changes.
“We have been impressed with how the whole group has come together in the last 10 days and we have done a lot of work on and off the field,” said Lancaster.
“Now is the time to turn all that into a performance against Scotland that we can all be proud of. It is a massive challenge – Murrayfield, the first game of the Six Nations – but one we are relishing.”
