Daniel Sturridge insists Chelsea remain confident going into Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Napoli, despite their recent poor form.
The Blues, 9/4 with bookmaker to win in Naples, are struggling to secure a top-four spot in the Premier League and could only draw with Championship outfit Birmingham City in an FA Cup fifth round clash at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Sturridge accepts it will not be easy to beat Napoli, 13/10 to win Tuesday’s game, who impressed against Manchester City in the group stage of the competition.
Despite this, Sturridge believes Chelsea can prevail. He said: “We are all together as one and we are not a divided unit. We are a family and we’ve got a good unit going here and I think maybe we will see that in the next few games.
“We go into the Champions League with confidence because we are playing some good football.”
