Stuart Pearce has hinted that he would be interested in managing England at Euro 2012 this summer.
Pearce took charge of the national team on an interim basis for Wednesday’s 3-2 friendly defeat to Holland, 15/2 with bookmaker to win Euro 2012, but insists he has no interest in taking the role permanently.
After the Wembley loss, Pearce said: “I feel I’d be confident in taking the squad to the Euros because of the experience I’ve got as an international player and manager.
“That wouldn’t be daunting to me, but I don’t think after that period I have the experience for this job.
“The full-time manager of England is somebody else at this moment in time. It certainly isn’t me.”
England are available at 9/1 to win Euro 2012.
