Everton manager David Moyes believes his side will start next month’s FA Cup semi-final against Merseyside rivals Liverpool as underdogs.
Everton, 4/1 with bookmaker to win the FA Cup this season, set up the Wembley date with Kenny Dalglish’s team by claiming an impressive 2-0 sixth-round replay victory at Sunderland.
Moyes is wary of Liverpool, 12/5 to win the FA Cup, as, although they have struggled in the Premier League this term, the Reds have already won the Carling Cup after beating Cardiff City in the Wembley final.
Moyes continued: “Liverpool will be favourites. They have beaten us twice this year, haven’t they? They have to go into the game as favourites, and we will go there and play.”
