Blackpool manager Ian Holloway is overjoyed to be returning to Wembley after his side defeated Birmingham in their Championship play-off semi-final.
The Seasiders, who are 11/8 with bookmaker to go back up to the Premier League at the first attempt, held a one goal lead from the first leg last week and survived a tense second leg against the Blues to triumph 3-2 on aggregate on Wednesday evening.
They now have one foot back in the top flight, but will have to get past West Ham in the final on 19th May.
The Blackpool boss is thrilled to be heading to Wembley again and hopes the final will herald a new era for the club.
“I want to build from the top to the bottom. I have got a great group of lads in there and I’m so proud of everything that we’ve done. We’ve played some fantastic stuff, I think we are getting better,” he said.
“Who knows what’s going to happen, but I can’t tell you how proud I am of the whole club. It’s absolutely brilliant.”
