For the first round of the Turkish Super League, Besiktas will visit Sivasspor. The guest team was 3rd at the end of last season’ race, 4 points behind champions Galatasaray, while the home team crossed the finishing line 13th having the same points as 2 other teams but better goal averages.
Besiktas will play at UEFA Europe League directly thanks to that last season’s position, however, they will have started the season away at Sivasspor, suffering from injuries. No less than 8 players (Necip Uysal, Burak Yılmaz, Adem Ljajic, Dorukhan Toköz, Gary Medel, Gökhan Gönül, Atiba, Roco) will not be able to play in this match. More importantly, at least 5 of them are considered as starters which translates to a difficulty manning up the squad. On the other hand, Sivasspor also lost some important players such as Douglas, Gabriel Torje and Fousseni Diabaté. These players contributed a lot for Sivasspor last season and they tried to fill in the missing positions with internal transfers. They will probably go out on the pitch with this squad.
As a conclusion, both teams have a lot of missing players and I think both teams will not find a lot of opportunities to score. That is why I will place my bet on under 2.5 by using VIP-IBC!
