Amir Khan’s representatives have confirmed a rematch with Lamont Peterson will go ahead in Las Vegas on 19th May.
Khan, who is 1/5 with bookmaker to win the bout, controversially lost his WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles to the American in Washington last December.
The Khan camp appealed against the outcome and have finally reached an agreement with Peterson’s representatives, with the fight to take place at the Mandalay Hotel.
“We have a deal, we are all set. This is going to be a big, and I mean a very big fight,” Golden Boy chief executive Richard Schaefer told Sky Sports.
“The first fight was a terrific fight, an all-action fight, a lot of controversy, a lot of questions surrounding it so this one here is hopefully going to clear up all these question marks.”
