Australia captain Michael Clarke has demanded an improvement in his side’s bowling as they strive to avoid a fourth defeat at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
The Australians head into the final match of the NatWest series 3-0 down, and are 1/1 with bookmaker to win at Old Trafford. They have taken just 11 wickets in the series to date as England have cruised to their wins, with the margins of victory for the hosts getting wider as the series has progressed.
Clarke confessed: “I would like to see more of their batting order, that’s for sure, because we can’t get through their top three or four at the moment.
“I don’t care what form of the game you’re playing in, you have to get blokes out. If you want to slow the scoring you take wickets. That’s always been my attitude in any form of the game.
“It has been very disappointing that we haven’t been able to bowl England out.”
