James Anderson has pledged his immediate future to Lancashire by signing a new two-year contract with the Red Rose county.
Anderson made his first-class debut for the county a decade ago but his England commitments mean he has only featured in one County Championship game for Lancashire this year.
The 30-year-old said: “I always love coming back to play for the club when my England duties permit me to and I’m delighted to sign for another two years.”
Anderson, who has played in 73 Test matches, 164 one-day and 19 Twenty20 internationals, is set to represent his country at the World Twenty20 tournament.
England are 7/1 with bookmaker to win the competition while South Africa can be backed at 5/1.
