Kevin Pietersen hit a swashbuckling century for the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League to help his side move to the top of the table.
The Daredevils, who are 11/4 with bookmaker to win the IPL, saw off the Deccan Chargers with five wickets to spare.
The century was Pietersen’s first in Twenty20 cricket, his previous best being 79 for England in 2007 against Zimbabwe.
The England batsman hit nine sixes, needing just 64 balls to bring up his century.
“This is absolutely amazing, this is what dreams are made of,” he said afterwards. “You come here as an England player and it’s very, very intimidating but to come here and have all these fans cheering for you is very special.
“That was my first Twenty20 100 so it will be pretty hard to beat.”
