Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo says his side will have the complete lowdown on Atletico Madrid when they take on the Spanish side for the European Super Cup.
The Blues, who are 14/1 with bookmaker to retain their Champions League crown this year, last won the Super Cup in 1998 with victory over Real Madrid in Monaco.
Di Matteo has prepared his side well for Friday night’s match, insisting they can never stop learning when it comes to playing for football’s top honours.
The Stamford Bridge outfit will be particularly wary of Atletico’s brilliant striker Radamel Falcao, who has been on the club’s radar for some time.
Di Matteo said: “We collect every detail and then we give the players the information that is most important.
“On the night, you have to make decisions sometimes based on the feeling that you have in the game, from the players and so on.”
