Chelsea caretaker manager Roberto Di Matteo is refusing to celebrate just yet, despite his team’s stunning 1-0 win over Barcelona at Stamford Bridge in their Champions League semi-final.
The Blues, who are 11/1 with bookmaker to draw 1-1 at the Camp Nou next Tuesday, hold their slender first leg lead thanks to Didier Drogba’s winner just before the half-time whistle.
However, despite his side’s impressive defensive display, Di Matteo is wary of taking anything for granted ahead of the second leg.
“I am very pleased with this result but it is only half-time,” said the Italian, who has overseen 10 wins in his 12 games in charge at the club.
“Nothing has been decided yet and we need to play another game like this one if we are going to get through.”
