Wigan striker Franco di Santo has warned his team-mates they must not allow their standards to slip as they bid to avoid relegation to the Championship.
Roberto Martinez’s side are now 6/1 with bookmaker to be relegated following their memorable win at Arsenal on Monday, which was preceded by victory over Manchester United.
Recent results suggest the players believe they can stay in the Premier League but they need to maintain their momentum when they travel to Fulham at the weekend.
Di Santo insisted: “We have given ourselves some breathing space, but it is not over. We don’t want our standards to slip now.
“The way we’ve been playing and the teams we have been beating suggest we have the ability to finish the season with four wins. We went to Arsenal to win and we had enough confidence generated by the last ten games to know we can match anybody.”
