Jonny Evans is edging closer to opening his goal account for Manchester United after very nearly breaking his duck in the win over QPR.
The Northern Ireland international, who is 20/1 with bookmaker to score at any time against Fulham on Wednesday, has never netted for United.
Evans came agonisingly close to opening his account when he headed against the bar during the 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Sunday.
The central defender is expected to partner Rio Ferdinand once more at Craven Cottage and hopes he will soon find the back of the net.
Evans said: “I don’t know when I will get one. Hopefully soon! I must have had three or four good chances against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday. It was just unfortunate for me that none of them went in.”
