Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini says his side must amass at least 90 points if they are to win the Premier League title this season.
City, who are 4/7 with bookmaker to take the crown, will top the table at Christmas after easily defeating Stoke 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night. However, champions Manchester United are hot on their heels.
The gap between the city rivals is still at two points after United thumped Fulham 5-0 at Craven Cottage and Mancini believes his players will have to maintain their impressive form until the end of the season if they are to achieve their dream.
“We are happy (to be top) but as I said, it’s important to stay top at the end of the season,” said the Italian.
“If we want to win the championship we should get 90 points because Manchester United keep winning.”
