Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini insists the club must find a way to sign more players quickly if they are to keep hold of their Premier League crown.
City, who are 13/10 with bookmaker to retain the title this season, drew 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday and Mancini is hoping for more transfer activity before the closure of the transfer window on Friday.
“We need to put players in but we work for this, we have five days and we should work hard,” said the Italian.
The champions are set to sign Scott Sinclair from Swansea in the next few days after agreeing a fee with the Welsh side. The winger will fill the void left by Adam Johnson following his move to Sunderland. He will become the club’s second capture of the summer after the signing of Jack Rodwell from Everton.
Mancini has also been linked with moves for Athletic Bilbao’s Javi Martinez and Roma’s Daniele De Rossi.
