France playmaker Samir Nasri fears defeat to England in their opening group game could be a disaster for their Euro 2012 campaign.
Nasri, who is 9/1 with bookmaker to score first when the two teams meet on Monday, is well aware of the threat Roy Hodgson’s side will pose to their qualification hopes.
He will come face-to-face with a number of his Manchester City team-mates and is determined to ensure that Les Bleus kick-off their Group D qualification bid with a win.
Nasri told France Football: “Against England there is no choice, I need a win. Otherwise I will go back to City and be teased by everyone.
“The only advantage I can see at the moment is the suspension of Wayne Rooney. But England are England, they are amazing fighters and competitors.”
