Mark Webber has predicted that the Bahrain Grand Prix will be another exciting race and believes Red Bull will enjoy a successful weekend.
It has been a disappointing start to the new season for last year’s constructors’ title winners as they have only secured one podium finish from the first three races – a second place for reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel in Australia.
However, Webber, who is 16/1 with bookmaker to win the 2012 drivers’ world championship with team-mate Vettel 11/2 to retain his crown, is looking to get his season on track in the heat of Bahrain.
“We haven’t been to the circuit for two years and the last time we raced on the current track layout was in 2009,” said the Australian.
“It’s a hot race, hotter than it was in Australia and Shanghai and more like the temperature in Malaysia. It would be nice to get a podium before we go back to Europe.”
