Anthony Kim believes he is ready to climb back towards the world’s top 50 after suffering injury and a loss of form to plummet to 84th in the rankings.
Kim, one of the stars of the 2008 Ryder Cup, showed at the end of 2011 that he is on his way back, with three top-three finishes on the Asian Tour. He also registered a two-under round of 70 in the first round of the Humana Challenge this week, which he is 66/1 to win with bookmaker.
Kim revealed after the first round that he is finally beginning to feel comfortable on the course once more.
He said: “That’s probably the first time in about a year and a half that I felt ready to play and felt like I could shoot 60.
“It was weird, the feeling I had. I didn’t make great golf swings, but saved my round there at the end.”
