Europe’s Ryder Cup skipper Jose Maria Olazabal has handed Ian Poulter and Nicolas Colsaerts wildcard picks, but Padraig Harrington misses out.
Poulter was selected as a wild card in 2008 and became the event’s highest points scorer for Europe, who are 11/8 with bookmaker to win once more in Medinah.
The Englishman will be making his fourth appearance in the Ryder Cup, while Colsaerts is the first Belgian to take part.
Harrington has been a member of the last six European sides but has been left out after only finishing 19th at The Barclays Tournament at Bethpage Black.
Martin Kaymer claimed the 10th automatic place on Sunday, the German joining Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Graeme McDowell, Paul Lawrie, Francesco Molinari, Luke Donald, Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia and Peter Hanson in the team.
