Melbourne Heart, who are 11/4 with bookmaker to defeat Adelaide United, are hopeful that their talismanic midfielder Fred will be passed fit to take part in their Friday night’s match at Hindmarsh Stadium.
Their coach John van ‘t Schip has conceded that the Brazilian is still not fully fit but he believes that a few good training session will put him in on track for his comeback against Adelaide.
“He’s going very quick with his recovery, so hopefully he makes some good steps today and tomorrow and then we can make a decision,” van ‘t Schip said.
The Heart coach then revealed that his squad is fully focused to get their first win of the season when they take on Adelaide United, who were thrashed by a scoreline of 7-1 by the league leaders and defending champions Brisbane Roar last weekend.
