Huddersfield Giants coach Nathan Brown is excited by the prospect of welcoming back four of his key players for the crunch clash with Leeds Rhinos.
Luke Robinson and Lee Gilmour were rested for the recent defeat to Hull KR, while Keith Mason and Luke O’Donnell are in line to make their first appearances of 2012 having undergone surgery during the close season.
The Giants, 14/1 with bookmaker to win this season’s Grand Final and 16/1 to clinch the Challenge Cup, were knocked off top spot in the Super League table as a result of the defeat to the Robins. However, Brown is pleased that he will be able to strengthen his options following that setback.
He said: “Luke’s fit and ready to play. In fact, he’s been fit for a couple of weeks, but after such major surgery we didn’t want to risk bringing him back a little too early. It just wasn’t worth us taking the risk with him.”
