Keith Mason is hoping to make an appearance for Huddersfield Giants over the hectic Easter period, having finally recovered from a knee problem.
The former St Helens player is aiming to help the Giants, who are 1/20 with bookmaker to defeat Salford City Reds on Good Friday, keep their place at the top of the table.
Mason has been plagued by problems with his knee for over a year but says he is now ready to return.
“The knee’s feeling a little better now. I had it cleared out the other week, which ruled me out for a little longer than I’d have liked, but it needed doing and now I’m ready to play again and help my team-mates out over the Easter period,” said Mason.
“Salford have had it tough over the last week or so but they’ve shown on a few occasions this season that they’re capable of playing great rugby. Our games against them are always tough and I’m sure this one will be no exception.”
