Stand-off Leon Pryce has agreed a three-year deal with the Catalans Dragons, having decided to leave St Helens, who are 7/1 with bookmaker to win the Super League Grand Final.
The 29-year-old former Bradford Bulls ace joined Saints in 2006, but has decided the time is now right for a complete change of scenery.
The Dragons have also recruited Australian Louis Anderson from Warrington Wolves as they seek to make a big impact in Super League next term, with the French outfit currently in fifth place in the table and getting ready for play-off action.
Coach Trent Robinson said: “One of our targets for 2012 was an England international who has the ability to change a match and Leon definitely fits these criteria. We’re looking forward to his contribution to the progression of Rugby League at the Dragons.”
