Leicester director of rugby Richard Cockerill has warned his side’s Aviva Premiership rivals that there is much more to come from the Tigers.
The Tigers, 7/4 with bookmaker to win the Grand Final this season, have opened their league campaign with bonus-point wins over London Welsh and Worcester Warriors.
However, Cockerill is confident that his team have plenty to improve on in the coming months.
He said: “People would have expected us to win these first two games with bonus points and we’ve done that.
“Was it perfect? No. Are we quite good at building into the season and getting better as it goes on? Yes, but we’re 10 points from 10 points, so I wouldn’t have swapped that for last year.
“There’ll be lots of things to work on, there’ll be a bit of criticism here and there, but that’s the way it is.”
