Interim head coach Stuart Lancaster has named nine uncapped players in his 32-man squad for England’s Six Nations campaign, a tournament his side is 11/4 with bookmaker to win.
He has also discarded several experienced players following last year’s dismal World Cup campaign, including Mike Tindall, Mark Cueto and Nick Easter.
Jonny Wilkinson, Lewis Moody and Steve Thompson all announced their retirements from international rugby following the debacle in New Zealand while scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth, fly-half Toby Flood, centre Manu Tuilagi, prop Andrew Sheridan and locks Courtney Lawes and Louis Deacon are all currently injured.
England open the Six Nations with a game on 4th February against Scotland, who are 18/1 to win the competition.
