France head coach Marc Lievremont believes his side, 7/1 with bookmaker, can cause a massive shock by beating hosts New Zealand in Sunday’s World Cup final.
The All Blacks are 1/9 to win the Auckland showdown, but Lievremont has backed his unpredictable outfit to push New Zealand all the way.
Lievremont said: “I believe in our team and we can win. All I am focusing on now is this match, preparing the players and making sure we have the best chance possible.
“I know how we are going to try to win, but I’ll keep those words for my players’ ears only.”
Meanwhile, scrum-half Dimitri Yachvili has urged his colleagues to make the most of a dream opportunity, adding: “This is the biggest game of our careers. It is a dream final.
“We have to approach this with as little fear as possible. We will try to stay positive and we are all aware this is the greatest event of our careers.”
