KIEV, May 30 (Reuters) – President Viktor Yushchenko accused government officials on Friday of sabotaging the reconstruction of the main stadium hosting Euro 2012 matches and told his prime minister to ensure the project went ahead. The Silesian Marshal’s Office elected the German design office GMP Architekten from Aachen  for the designer of the roof . The agreement with the company was signed on 25 April. The roof is supposed to be transparent with the openwork structure of the crown. It will cover the auditorium but not grass. JSK Architekci company has shown a visualization and a miniature of the National Stadium. Its elevation refers to the national colours and imitates the waving Polish flag. Kyiv is expected to start building a 206-km long belt highway, the first stage of which (149 km) will be constructed until Euro-2012. First Deputy Head Denys Bass of the Kyiv City State Administration said the road would include two new bridges across Dnieper.
