On 1 March online registration of tickets for Euro 2012 has begun and on the same day the UEFA will announce prices, stages concerning the pre-sale of tickets and time of their implementation. Tickets are sold exclusively one the Internet. Not all seats will be available. Most tickets have been reserved for VIPs and members of football associations. Tickets for Euro 2012 matches in Ukraine and Poland playedfrom June 8 until July 1 will cost from 30 to 600 euros. “The purchasing power of local citizens was taken into account when setting prices, and the cheapest tickets will cost 50% less than at UEFA’s Euro 2008 [event] in Austria and Switzerland. The Municipal Stadium in Poznan in Bulgarska Street was built and was put into use in 1980. Lech Poznan plays their matches on this stadium. Because of the European Football Championships the conversion of stadium is planned and this allows among others to enlarge its capacity almost twice (to 44 thousand seats). One of the most intricate operations has begun at the National Stadium – the elevation of the roof line structure. Until January 4 the 70-meter spire will be elevated to the height of 34 meters above the pitch by means of 72 steel ropes. The central point of construction – a huge spire with “garage” mounted on it for the movable part of the roof will be elevated by more than 40 meters.
