John Higgins believes Judd Trump and Mark Selby will pose him the biggest threat as he prepares to defend his title at the World Snooker Championship.
Higgins, who is 9/1 with bookmaker to win a fifth title at the Crucible in Sheffield, says Trump, who finished last year as runner-up, and world number one Selby will be the ones to watch.
Higgins said of Trump: “Obviously there’s lots of people out there who want to see him go back and go one better.
“I know why I’m not the favourite, but making Judd the favourite? I think you could make the case for a lot of players.
“You could make the case for Neil Robertson, for Mark Selby as world number one, for Ronnie O’Sullivan coming back to form.”
