Three-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan believes that he could have achieved even more than he has during his illustrious career.
O’Sullivan is 7/1 with bookmaker to win a fourth UK Championship when the tournament gets underway in York in early December, but The Rocket has cast doubt on his own legacy in the sport.
He said: “I could have had Stephen Hendry’s records in sight, but I have had a lot of ups and downs.
“I suppose with the mindset I have had at times, I should be happy with what I’ve achieved.
“I’ve won four UK titles, four Masters and three worlds, which is a good haul, but in my mind I have underachieved.”
Hendry, who has won seven world titles, 5 UK and 6 Masters, is 80/1 to roll back the years and take the title in York, while reigning world champion John Higgins is 7/1.
