Samir Nasri has spoken of his relief after finally completing his move to Manchester City from Arsenal and says he is looking forward to playing alongside his new team-mates.
The France international agreed a four-year deal with City on Wednesday, bringing an end to one of the most protracted transfer sagas of the summer. He could make his debut against Spurs on Sunday and is 9/4 with bookmaker to score at any time.
And the 24-year-old is excited by the prospect of making a new start in the north-west and playing in front of City’s “passionate” fans.
“Finally I am a City player and that is what I wanted since the start, so I am really happy,” he said.
City manager Roberto Mancini was delighted to land his man, describing him as a “fantastic player”.
