Aston Villa striker Darren Bent believes Tottenham’s in-form midfielder Scott Parker is playing well enough to be an England regular.
Bent thinks Alex McLeish’s side, 11/2 with bookmaker to beat Spurs at White Hart Lane on Monday, can travel to north London with plenty of conviction.
Bent, who is 15/2 to open the scoring against one of his former clubs, said: “Scott is playing really well at the minute and he’s been in unbelievable form, deservedly winning the Football Writers’ Player of the Year award last season.
“Scott is probably a regular in the England starting XI now, let alone the squad.”
