Gary Cahill is looking forward to playing in the Champions League for the first time next week when Chelsea face Napoli.
The Blues defender played for England last year but thinks starring in Europe’s top competition will be the highlight of his career.
Cahill, who moved to Stamford Bridge from Bolton Wanderers for £7million last month, said: “I think it will drive me on to do well because I want to go out there and prove that I can play at this level.
“It was the thing I was most looking forward to about coming to Chelsea, playing Champions League football.”
Chelsea are currently 11/10 with bookmaker to finish in the top four of the Premier League and 14/1 to win the Champions League.
