Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is determined to finish a disappointing campaign in style by beating Chelsea in a repeat of Saturday’s FA Cup final.
The two sides meet for a Premier League fixture just three days after Chelsea beat the Carling Cup winners 2-1 at Wembley and Dalglish is desperate to give the Anfield faithful something to cheer about as the season draws to a close.
The Reds have managed just five home Premier League wins all season and are 11/10 with bookmaker to clinch their sixth victory with success over Chelsea.
Dalglish said: “Everyone knows the home results haven’t been great this season despite some excellent performances along the way.
“It would be a little bit of solace for the punters who have given us tremendous support throughout the season if we could get a win. We want them to go home with a certain amount of satisfaction and we can do that by getting the three points.”
Chelsea, who are still involved in the battle for a top-four spot, can be backed at 12/5 to return to the capital with all three points.
