Veteran Bolton Wanderers striker Kevin Davies has called on his team-mates to focus on the task of winning at Stoke City on Sunday as they bid to secure Premier League survival.
The Trotters, 7/4 with bookmaker to win at the Britannia Stadium, must take all three points in the Potteries and hope that QPR are beaten at Manchester City, who would clinch the title with a victory.
However, Davies has urged his colleagues to forget about events at the Etihad Stadium and ensure that they do their jobs against a Potters outfit who are unlikely to make things easy for them.
Davies said: “We are relying on City to do a job on QPR, but anything can happen and that’s out of our hands.
“We can’t really affect what happens in the City game. We just have to go to Stoke and look to win the game first.”
