Harry Redknapp hopes to have Jermain Defoe available for Saturday’s clash at Swansea City, a match Spurs are 6/1 with bookmaker to win 1-0.
The England international striker missed the 2-0 win at Norwich City on Tuesday, a result that left Spurs, who are 4/11 to finish in the top four, third in the Premier League table.
“When everyone’s fit we’re very strong,” said Redknapp. “Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone are on their way back and Jermain Defoe could be back for the weekend.”
Gareth Bale scored both Spurs goals at Carrow Road, with Redknapp adding of the in-form Wales international: “He’s an amazing player. He’s got everything, there’s not a weakness in his make-up.
“He can head the ball, he’s as strong as an ox, he can run, dribble, and shoot, and most important of all – he’s a smashing lad.”
