Chelsea interim coach Roberto Di Matteo, whose side are 15/8 with bookmaker to lift the trophy, hopes that home advantage will add to the pressure on Bayern Munich in Saturday’s Champions League final.
The German giants are 4/5 to deny the Blues a first success in the competition, with many pundits feeling that playing in their own Allianz Arena will be a big benefit for Bayern.
However, Di Matteo believes that the venue may heap a little more pressure on the Bavarians, telling UEFA.com: “I have been asked this question before and I’m not sure if it will be like having home advantage.
“It could go either way. If you look at it from another angle, maybe it will bring added pressure. It’s difficult to say whether it will or not.”
Bayern and Chelsea have only met on two previous occasions, with the Blues edging home 6-5 on aggregate in an action-packed quarter-final tie.
