France are eager and ready to erase the memories of their dismal World Cup campaign two years ago according to Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye.
New head coach Laurent Blanc has turned Les Bleus around since his appointment, with France finalising their warm-up plans with a 4-0 thumping of Estonia, although they do have injury concerns over Yann M’Vila (ankle) and Blaise Matuidi (thigh).
A confident Cabaye told BBC Sport: “We have been winning matches and qualified directly for the Euros.
“He (Blanc) made us forget the last World Cup, which was a complete failure. He has instilled a group mentality and team spirit like you find in a club.”
France open their campaign against England in Donetsk on Monday 11th June and are 7/5 with bookmaker to get off to a winning start, while they are 4/9 to qualify from Group D, which also features Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine.
