Great Britain must avoid defeat against Uruguay if they are to secure an Olympic quarter-final place following their 3-1 victory over the United Arab Emirates at Wembley.
GB, who are 13/10 with bookmaker to win Group A, went top of the group with the win on Sunday.
Senegal had earlier shocked Uruguay 2-0, despite going down to 10 men, and a point against the South Americans in Cardiff on Wednesday will be enough to see Stuart Pearce’s side through at their opponents’ expense.
However, the GB coach insists his men are underdogs heading into the clash.
“I think Uruguay are still favourites in our group,” he said.
“It is an instant knockout situation, there is all to play for and that makes it even more exciting.”
