Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has been backed by team-mate Joe Hart to return to the prolific form he showed in the early part of the season.
The Bosnia striker had netted 14 goals for City, who are 4/9 with bookmaker to win the Premier League title, by the first week of November, before failing to add to his tally until Monday’s 1-0 win at Wigan.
Now goalkeeper Hart believes that Dzeko is ready to hit the goal trail on a regular basis, starting at home to Spurs on Sunday, with the striker having put the Londoners to the sword earlier this season when he scored four times in a 5-1 thrashing of Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
Hart said: “We are very much a team unit and we are very much rooting for Edin to do well. We were over the moon for him.
“That is the kind of thing he does and it is no fluke he scored those goals at the start of the campaign.”
