Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean believes that his side can begin to look up and not down after a massive 2-0 victory at home to Sunderland.
Rovers are six points clear of the drop zone and 7/2 with bookmaker to be relegated after seeing off the Black Cats at Ewood Park, with Kean delighted to see his side back up a 2-0 win at Wolves with another excellent display.
He said after the crucial win: “Not only have we got back-to-back wins, but back-to-back clean sheets.
“I think we can catch (teams above us) and with confidence and consistency in the team, which we can feel with abundance, we can start to look up.”
Rovers have now won three of their last five Premier League games, with the success at Molineux and a 3-2 home win over QPR critical victories against two of their fellow relegation candidates.
Next up for Rovers should be a Saturday trip to the Reebok Stadium to take on another struggling outfit, Bolton Wanderers, who are currently one point and one place outside the bottom three.
