Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has called for his side to react quickly after their unbeaten Premier League run ended, with a tough test at home to Arsenal next on the agenda.
The Citizens, who are 4/5 with bookmaker to win the league title, suffered a 2-1 reverse at Chelsea on Monday evening and now lead deadly rivals Manchester United by two points.
Mancini is aware that his squad need to show a positive reaction as quickly as possible, with the Gunners heading to the Etihad Stadium for a Sunday showdown on the back of seven wins and a draw in their last eight league games.
Italian Mancini said: “We are still top of the table and we are strong enough to recover. We know that this is a long season and that many teams still have a chance to challenge.
“We know it was possible to lose one game, but we hope we will draw or win (the rest of the games).
“We worked well up to now and now we should continue. I hope that we can go another 14 games without losing. We must now carry on like we have been doing – starting with Arsenal on Sunday.”
